Day at Kate’s Studio

Ive just arrived back up the mountain, after a wonderful day of painting in the studio of Kate Broadfoot.

To say it was a feast for the eyes, heart and senses, is an understatment.  Colour abounds everywhere.  Every possible nook and crannie is jammed packed with a wonderful assortment of nicknacks, artefacts and curios.  No spot is left untouched!

Although, please don’t imagine that it is in any way ‘contrived’ – not in the least.

The garden abounds with natural plantings and rusticity galore.  But I will get to the garden in my next post, as there is just TOO much to deal at one time.

The images here just cover one tiny spot in the studio.  Paint of every kind and colour spills from shelves, just begging to be used.  Canvases, boards and various surfaces sprawl across the studio in various states of undress.  I can’t help but think of a child’s idea of the perfect cubby hole.  No chance of boredom here.

I’d like you to pay special attentin to Bec’s hat.  Where did you get that hat, where did you get that hat?
